Moriah Woods in an Amercian multi-instrumentalist, dark-folk singer-songwriter living in Poland. Music runs through her blood as her mother is a classical violinist and her father a rock musician. As a teenager Moriah left her classical roots to follow the more folk/country inspiration of her home in the Colorado mountains. Mixing with street musicians in her travels and being inspired by the likes of Johnny Cash, 16 Horsepower, Townes van Zandt and Chelsea Wolfe, Moriah’s music has the broad range of folk/country and deepness that can be clearly heard. In December of 2013, from her bedroom, she recorded her first album „Bring the Rain”. With 10 compositions of raw, experimental and intimate songs with a 20s americana feel.
Moriah moved to Poland in the spring of 2014 and began performing solo as well as collecting members of the dark folk rock band ‚The Feral Trees‘ – To the solo arrangements were later added bass and drums which brought about the first studio album in 2016 „The Road to Some Strange Forest” consisting of 10 composistions showing us a heavier and more refind side to the evolution of her music. Moriah is currently writing songs for the next album.
Since moving to Europe Moriah has performed in Germany, Holand, Belgium, France, SZIGET 2015 in Hungary, Slovakia, Estonia and Open’er and OFF festival in Poalnd. She had the opportunity to play support for american artists LP and Emma Ruth Rundle in 2017
